Brussels, 26 January 2012 - Atos Worldline, Atos expertise in high-technology transactional services, and Belgium’s most important processor of payment transactions, releases its 2011 payment transaction figures in Belgium today. In 2011 it processed 1,387,623,864 transactions (+7.1%), amounting to 2638 transactions a minute and a continuity of nearly 100%. The majority of these transactions relate to Bancontact/Mister Cash payments (973,376,007, +6.5%). Last year, the number of VISA and MasterCard payments rose by 12.2%.
