Environmental Performance
Greater services, dematerialisation, features... and simplicity
Atos Worldline uses its know-how to serve more sustainable growth while undertaking significant efforts to reduce its global environmental footprint. The initiative includes both improving its production tool and deploying responsible practices at the local level.
Improving the Environmental Performance...
. . . of our customers with our offer.
The global expertise of Atos Worldline helps dematerialise data exchanges across the planet and thereby participates in a global effort to protect the environment. Dematerialisation helps realise large-scale savings in raw materials and energy, the most eloquent example being that of reducing paper consumption. The set-up of certain customer services such as Teleroute helps enhance the allocation of resources and has a direct impact on improvements in environmental performance.
. . . and of our operation through industrial commitments and best practices.
We are aware of the environmental impact of our activity. Like any industry, we consume raw materials and generate waste in order to produce our services. A specific feature of our business is that it depends on data centres with thousands of energy-consuming servers. We are committed to a pragmatic policy of improving the energy efficiency of our data centres. Apart from our data centres, our business is carried out locally in office buildings. Like many companies, we are engaged in a process of implementing best practices at the local level in order to reduce our environmental impact, by recycling ink cartridges and paper, energy saving measures (lighting, loaders, computers on standby mode, etc.), the use of electric vehicles on site, setting up a shuttle to link a site to the public transport network or the purchase of electricity produced by renewable energies.
