18 until 21 November 2009 - Medica 2009 - Düsseldorf

Medica 2009: Atos Worldline presents solutions for secure handling of patient records
The annual Medica event, the world's major forum of medicine, turns 40 this year. On the occasion of this milestone birthday, the exhibition area has been already booked up since March. Altogether, more than 4.000 exhibitors on almost 120.000 m2 net area are expected at this medical event highlight. Technical solutions around the electronic health insurance card will again take center stage in 2009.
Solutions by Atos Worldline
Atos Worldline is going to present from 18 to 21 November pathbreaking solutions for secure handling of patient data and the insurant's independent access at the e-kiosk.. The focus will be on "Worldline eGK KAMS" the card application management system developed by Atos Worldline, which represents the full life cycle of the electronic health card (eGK) as well the integration component "eGK@Kiosk", by which the insured can in future access their electronic prescriptions independently via a user-friendly self-service terminal and, besides, review and update their standing data. With the component "eGK@Service", Atos Worldline shows how the insurant's request of personal support can be put into practice by insurance companies at the clerk's workplace. Atos Worldline thus disposes of a solution family which assists health insurance companies in issuing, managing and employing the electronic health card.
Additional benefit for all
In times of continuous controversial discussisons on benefits and disadvantages of the electronic health insurance card, the solutions should make clear which additional convenience it means for all players in the health sector. For example, it enables insurants - unlike the previous insurance card - to assume an active role by updating their personal data on their own and to manage their emergency applications and electronic prescriptions. Also direct electronic communication with pharmacies is henceforth going to be possible via e-kiosk. The fields of application of an e-kiosk are numerous and essentially contribute to creating more opportunities for the self dependent handling of patient data and optimizing health care.
Workshop with "Live-Demo"
A foretaste of the exhibition topics at Medica 2009 is offered to the compulsory health insurance funds on 23 June 2009 at the Atos Worldline site in Frankfurt. Together with their partner TrustTerminal, Atos Worldline is going to show the opportunities arising with the e-kiosk and how they can best be used - also in an economically efficient way. The focus of the Atos Worldline presentation is going to be the benefit and rentability of the insurant's applications, the solution Worldline eGK@KAMS in view of its function for health funds, and the online update of the VSDD (Insurant Master Date Service) without a telematics infrastructure. TrustTerminal, the established producer of terminal systems, is going to focus on the potential of eGK picture acquisition at the e-kiosk as well as digital signage and queuing systems operated via the technology platform Publiq® in conjunction with e-kiosk. All functionalities are presented "live" during the workshop.

10 to 11 November 2009 - Poseidon ZVT Information Forum - Mettmann

In 2008, the Poseidon ZVT Information Forum was for the first time scheduled as a two-day event. The feedback was so positive that it is organized in the same way in 2009. The Info Forum starts on 10.11.2009 and ends with a collective lunch on 11.11.2009. The venue is the hotel Gut Höhne in Mettmann, near Düsseldorf. We would like to welcome all participants and speakers also to a pleasant come-together in the evening.

The first lecture, as usual, refers to news from Poseidon ZVT, the payment transaction interface of Atos Worldline. A further main topic for network operators and terminal producers are the changes resulting from the new software version of the Atos Security Box. Besides, we have scheduled a progress report on EPAS (Electronic Protocols Application Software) and on the ELV Forum that is concerned with the further development ELV proceeding in the SEPA environment. Naturally, we not only plan to have lectures, but enough breaks for expert talk and networking. The agenda is going to be finalized in the next weeks and sent together with the invitation to all Poseidon ZVT recipients, participants of the last events and further prospects.
